The situation: We are reading a book about a family of bears going to bed. The dad bear could not sleep because of all the noise everyone is making. At the end of the story, the dad bear finally falls asleep just in time for morning to come and baby bear to wake him up.
So we ask the kids “do you ever crawl into your parents bed in the morning to wake them up?”
The kids of course all have a story to tell about their parents, and how they wake them up, and the things the do in the morning.
Then one kid pipes up “My dad doesn’t wear a shirt to bed. Or pants.”
Such innocent words providing much to much information.
